1. Aerial Construction
Positions in the class of CATV Construction are engaged in various field operations. Positions are responsible for cable plant construction, installation, service, new plant installations, and performs related duties as assigned. CATV splicing, constructing strand and plant, activating system, performing sweep. Employees participate in training related to CATV work methods, use of tools and equipment and safety practices. As needed, responds to emergency situations.
2. Underground Construction
Maintains current knowledge of local underground ordinances, state and federal codes and general practices and requirements of utilities concerning cable television and related services installations, assuring compliance with established departmental engineering and installation policies Determines the locations of gas, telephone, power, television, water and sewer lines from the appropriate sources prior to installation if required. Completes work orders and related documentation to determine the nature of order and work required. Responds to inquires and complaints from the public and other interested parties. As needed, responds to emergency situations.
Positions in the class of CATV Technician include installation, service, new installations, reconnection, disconnections, maintenance. Service and troubleshoot from tap to home. Extensive use and knowledge of field meters and equipment. Great communication skills excellent customer relations.
4. Office / Admin
Performs administrative duties for executive management. Responsibilities include placing calls; managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising staff; maintaining customer and employee relations. Strong computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients.
